Community Service

Please utilise the following class to record your volunteer hours in order to exist recognized at graduation. The form below needs to show that ten hours of service were completed each semester. Documentation is due to the counseling function by March 12th of the educatee'southward SENIOR YEAR. Students are required to keep up with their hours/form.

Volunteer Service Participation

TN Scholars are high school students who have completed the TN Scholars Grade of Study, a specific sequence of bookish courses in math, science, language arts and social studies. Students must besides accept a adept record of attendance and subject field forth with 80 hours of customs service.

• 4 English Courses
• iii Years of Math and in additional upper level math course (Successful completion of all competencies for SAILS counts)
• 3 Laboratory Science Courses
• 3 Social Studies (Must meet requirements of the Tennessee Diploma Project)
• Computer/Personal Finance equally required by the State of Tennessee
• Must meet Land requirements for health and / or physical education/Fine Arts
• two Strange Linguistic communication courses in the same language

Choose at to the lowest degree two credits from the following: (These courses can be a combination of two of the following or 2 in the same category). These boosted courses cannot count toward other requirements for Tennessee Scholars.

Career Technical Educational activity
Fine arts (Such as music, art, trip the light fantastic, drama, production, etc)
AP courses which are not already used for basic requirements
Dual credit / dual enrollment courses which are not already used for bones requirements
International Baccalaureate courses non used for basic requirements
Online not used for bones requirements

Workforce Development Skills Requirements
• 80 hours of Volunteer Service to the Customs (Run across website for non- approved Volunteer hours).
• Maintain a "C" Average minimum in all Tennessee Scholars courses.
• 95% Attendance Required. (Cannot miss more than 36 total days in 4 years of high school)
• No out-of-school suspensions
